SPECIAL LIMITED OFFER. 3 TINS OF 8 GRAM SAFFRON = 24 GRAMS FOR JUST $120 + FREE SHIPPING
The Novin Saffron 8g saffron threads is created from the crimson stigma of the precious crocus sativus flower, hand picked before dawn to optimise quality.
Yellow stamens are discarded and the red filaments dried in the hot Persian sun leaving a saffron that is concentrated with unique active compounds.
The quality of this saffron is grade 1 under ISO 3632 (the International Standard for Saffron Grading) and it contains 100% dried stigmas from the crocus sativus flower.
The 8g traditionally painted metal tin will make a beautiful and versatile addition to your spice cupboard. The resealable metal tin will last over 12 months from opening if stored in a cool dry place.
Our Novin saffron is imported direct from Iran, and is from the 2020/21 harvest making it the freshest saffron available. We use Novin saffron in our Paella because it is drier and more potent than Spanish saffron and does not need to be toasted before use.
For cooking, saffron tea, or for general health, the Novin saffron 8g Metal Tin pack is an excellent choice at this price point.
As with all of our products, shipping is free to Australian addresses, and small surcharge for international orders, see our shipping page for details.

Powdered saffron generates more flavour than saffron threads, therefore if you powder your saffron, we recommend that you use a little less than you would using the threads. Also, saffron that you have powdered yourself does not to be infused prior to use, you can add powdered saffron directly to your cooking liquid for an immediate effect. Powdered saffron does lose its potency relatively quickly because of the higher surface area relative to weight. We recommend powdering just before use.
At Saffrondust, we don’t powder our saffron, so that it arrives as fresh as possible. In order to maintain this freshness, powdering should be done immediately before you use the Saffron, preferably with a pestle and mortar or herb grinder.
