This offer includes 5 Packs of Novin 8g Saffron in the traditionally painted metal tin and this multipack is a unique gift idea to share with your foodie friends, or, just for you to keep a few extra in the cupboard.

The 8g tin is one of our most popular products, and is resealable to keep saffron fresh and contaminant free after opening.  The sturdy resealable metal container will handle the bustle of a busy kitchen, and won't mind being knocked off the kitchen table accidentally.

The Novin Saffron 8g saffron threads is the highest quality Persian saffron containing only crimson filaments.  Yellow stamens are discarded during the production process leaving a saffron that is concentrated with active compounds found only in the stigma of the flower.

The grade on this saffron is sargol which is grade 1 under ISO 3632 (the International Standard for Saffron Grading) and it contains 100% dried stigmas from the crocus sativus flower.

The 8g traditionally painted metal tin make a beautiful and versatile addition to your any kitchen.  Saffron will last over 12 months from opening if stored in a cool dry place - we recommend the refrigerator.

Our Novin saffron is imported direct from Iran, and is from the 2020 harvest making it the freshest saffron available.

For cooking, saffron tea, or for general health, the Novin saffron 8g Metal Tin pack is an excellent choice.

As with all of our products, shipping is free to Australian addresses.

Saffron Preparation and Storage

Powdered saffron generates more flavour than saffron threads, therefore if you powder your saffron, we recommend that you use a little less than you would using the threads.  Also, saffron that you have powdered yourself does not to be infused prior to use, you can add powdered saffron directly to your cooking liquid for an immediate effect.  Powdered saffron does lose its potency relatively quickly because of the higher surface area relative to weight.  We recommend powdering just before use.

At Saffrondust, we don’t powder our saffron, so that it arrives as fresh as possible. In order to maintain this freshness, powdering should be done immediately before you use the Saffron, preferably with a pestle and mortar or herb grinder. For more information on preparing Saffron, visit the preparation guide in our FAQs.
