The Novin Saffron 5g Lux pack is an excellent value purchase for the home kitchen, and will last a long time even with frequent use. Only a pinch of around 20 threads is needed to flavour most recipes, and this 5g Lux pack will last around 100 recipes at this rate. We use Novin saffron in our Paella because it is stronger than the Spanish saffron, and we feel it gives a more vibrant colour and flavour to the dish.
This saffron is grade 1 under ISO 3632 (the International Standard for Saffron Grading) and it contains 100% saffron stigmas. It is a more concentrated saffron than its European cousins because it is sun dried until brittle rather than dehumidified in a machine.
The slimline pack fits easily in the spice cupboard or fridge, and the resealable inner plastic pack will keep your open saffron tidy and prevent wastage.
Our Novin saffron is imported direct from Iran, and is from the 2017 harvest making it the freshest saffron available.
For cooking, saffon tea, or for general health, the Novin saffron 5g Lux pack is an excellent choice at this price point.
As with all of our products, shipping is free to Australian addresses.
Powdered saffron generates more flavour than saffron threads, therefore if you powder your saffron, we recommend that you use a little less than you would using the threads.
At Saffrondust, we don’t powder our saffron, so that it arrives as fresh as possible. In order to maintain this freshness, powdering should be done immediately before you use the Saffron, preferably with a pestle and mortar or herb grinder.
